Graphical Search - Example 1
This first example demonstrates a simple graphical search where a single region is defined.
In this example, a search is performed for genes that are expressed in a similar fashion to a dopamine transporter
(Slc6a3) in the area around the substantia nigra.
|
Step 1 of 4
Section 6 is selected for the search because it contains the region of interest.
|
Step 2 of 4
The simple search is selected.
|
Step 3 of 4
The region to be searched is defined. The appropriate quadrilaterals are highlighted to select
the particular part of the midbrain structure around and including the substantia nigra
|
Step 4 of 4
The expression query pattern is chosen. Since Slc6a3 expression is the query pattern,
the Gene radio button is selected, and then Slc6a3 is chosen from the drop down list.
After clicking on Search, the top matches are displayed.
Clicking on one of the images in results takes you to a larger view and more information about the images.
